Why I do this work
I spent years in research, generating the ideas and the lead candidates, then testing them. What I came to see is that without commercialisation the science never reaches a patient. Good work can be real and still help no one.
As a key member of Vision ACTion I have sat with people living with vision loss, and seen first hand how much turns on researchers, clinicians and drug developers working as one rather than past each other. I co-founded a company to take a retinal therapeutic forward myself, and learned what it costs to be wrong late.
That is the work I do now: helping biotech entrepreneurs move into the ophthalmic space, asking the hard questions while they are still cheap to answer, and helping CROs build the services that let them answer those questions for their clients.
